www.natemichals.com is now mobile-ready

July 1, 2011

http://drumming.natemichals.com and http://www.natemichals.com are now mobile-device-ready :-) They may still have some problems with some mobile devices, but for the most part should be much faster to load. Alternatively, at the bottom of each mobile page, you have the option to switch to the full desktop site.

Interesting TorontoSun.com web page layout

July 1, 2011

I think this webpage layout is somewhat unique relative to what I am used to looking at (for news pages). Here is a screenshot below, I apologize if it is quite small, it was the easiest way to get a good look at the full page without cutting and pasting several images together. I like the way the panels are different sizes and inter-lock. Have a look:

The image is click-able and will take you to http://www.torontosun.com/home, although after today the page content will likely change. I like that the page doesn’t use flash or anything fancy to slow down the page loading time. If you happen to view the page on a mobile phone, you may be redirected to the slimmed-down mobile version of the site http://m.torontosun.com. I also find it to be more interesting to look at than Google News (not that there is anything wrong with Google’s simple and clean layout).

Leave your Mark on the web, MarkUp at Mozilla

June 30, 2011

You have an interactive ‘drawing board’ of sorts and a virtual ink-pen. When your ink level runs out it will refill, but you have to start a new stroke. Check it out:

here is mine (supposed to be a dog, but looks more like an anteater :P )
