image“Smooth Scottish beer with natural hints of toffee, vanilla and oak.”

Interesting beer.  Mild flavor with with the aforementioned vanilla, toffee and oak flavoring;  in that order I would say. It almost has a slight liquor aftertaste (like when doing a shot of something over 100 proof), but I think this is due to the mix of flavors.

Actually, I’m not sure what oak tastes like.  I know what reed cane tastes like after majoring in saxophone performance in college and playing some clarinet… but this taste is different.  Reed flavored beer might be a bit unusual, but I think someone should give it a try just for the novelty.  This, again, is from the Wegmans ‘choose your own craft pack.’

Interesting stuff.  I’ve never been a big beer fan, but I’m sampling varieties of beer lately, trying to learn the differences between them.  Wegmans has a deal where you can pick any six from an assortment.
